Alicia Salomone
With great sorrow that I received the news of the cancellation of the seminar that Dr. Víctor Barrera Enderle dictated in the Graduate School of Philosophy and Letters at UANL, "Theoretical perspectives of literature today." I have known Victor for many years because we were classmates in the PhD in Literature from the University of Chile and then we have maintained a lifelong friendship and collaboration through the Center for Latin American Studies at the University. In CECLA, Victor Barrera is not only a guest of honor but a colleague among us, whom we deeply value and whom we are grateful for their ongoing contributions through their books as suggestive, for the generosity with our host in the magazine run by his wise and conversation. By knowledge I have of Victor Barrera, it makes me very difficult to see why that has led authorities to marginalize School from his chair. I trust only prime sanity and justice and that he be restored to the place that rightfully belongs. Salomone
